Uniting for Impact: Empowering Social Change through Collaborative Learning

In the pursuit of social change, community-based organizations (CBOs) face various challenges that require capacity-building efforts to enhance their efficiency and sustainability.  Acknowledging this, IID hosted a learning-sharing workshop on June 20, 2023, bringing together 10 community-based organizations. This workshop aimed to enhance the effectiveness of its partner organizations’ activities. Facilitated by Syeed Ahamed, CEO of IID, the interactive session focused on sharing insights about IID’s social accountability model and social change metrics, emphasizing the instrumental role in improving project proposals, activities, and advocacy works to align with goal-oriented outcomes.

During the workshop, representatives from partner organizations, including Udayan Swabolombee Sangstha (USS), Gana Unnoyon Kendra (GUK), Sinnomul Mohila Samity (SMS), Gaibandha Rural Development Forum (GRDF), Unnoyon Sohojogi Sangstha, Bonarpara (USSB), Mac-Bangladesh, Samaj Kollan Shonstha, Suprovat Unnayn Shonstha, Moulvibazar Chajonoghusty Adibashi Front, and Institute for Social Advancement (ISA), explored ways to refine and align the NGO’s work with clear objectives. The session emphasized the importance of incorporating the social accountability model into project proposals, highlighting its role in promoting transparency, citizen engagement, and the effective utilization of public resources. By adopting this data-driven approach, organizations can demonstrate their impact, adapt strategies, and maintain a focus on their ultimate goals.

IID remains committed to fostering a conducive environment for learning, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among partner organizations. Together, these efforts contribute to social change in Bangladesh, transforming operations into systematic, goal-oriented, and result-focused endeavors.
