IID and BRAC jointly undertook a study to assess the basic learning competencies of children under the ASER model. This assessment considers both rural areas with better access and hard-to-reach rural areas. 791 primary school going children of Sylhet and Sunamgonj district were surveyed in this study. This study assessed learning levels in basic reading (Bangla and English) and arithmetic of children and found the major indicators that affects quality of education.
