Sadia Zaman
Research Associate
Sadia Zaman is a social development researcher specializing in gender and social inclusion, currently working as a Research Associate at the Institute of Informatics and Development (IID). At IID’s Youth team, she provides research support in curriculum design, drafting donor and event reports, and documenting program activities.
Before joining IID, Sadia worked as a Research Associate at Creative Pathways Bangladesh, where she contributed to baseline and endline evaluations for major I/NGO projects and led qualitative research using FGDs, KIIs, and IDIs. She also served as Assistant Program Coordinator at Footsteps Bangladesh, supporting disaster response operations during the 2022 Sylhet–Sunamganj floods and guiding youth development initiatives. Her experience further includes intern roles at UNCDF, the Center for Participatory Research and Development (CPRD), and volunteer work with Oxfam’s TROSA project.
Sadia holds an MA in Ecology, Culture, and Society from Goldsmiths, University of London—awarded through the British Council Women in STEM Scholarship—as well as an Master of Development Studies degree from the University of Dhaka and a BSc in Geography and Environment from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST). Her academic work spans themes of climate change, coastal ecosystems, blue economy, and climate-induced heat stress in Bangladesh.
