IID’s Social Accountability Model: Empowering Stakeholders for Transformative Change

Social accountability encourages citizens and civil society to engage in holding public institutions responsible for their actions. The Institute of Informatics and Development (IID) has created a social accountability model based on its 3i principle: Inquire, Inform, and Involve. This model promotes an informed, inclusive, and democratic society. It presents a theory of change focused on improving governance through evidence-based actions and building the capacities of both the public and policymakers. This booklet provides an overview of IID’s social accountability models, highlighting strategies for engaging stakeholders, developing capacities, and supporting community-driven initiatives. IID empowers civil society organizations (CSOs), including Youth Volunteers, to address the needs of marginalized communities. As the host of the CSO alliance and the Youth for Policy network, IID is dedicated to driving transformative change through social accountability in the society.
